Chrome extension for Zerodha Kite
A Zerodha portfolio tracker that works beside your holdings
Keep Kite as your starting point. HoldingsTracker Pro adds one-click stock research and live current-holdings sector and concentration insights to the page you already use.
Free installation and research links. Advanced-feature account requirements are shown in the extension. No paid checkout is currently available.
Research from your existing holdings and watchlists
Use stocks in your existing Kite holdings or watchlists as the starting point for research links to Screener, Tickertape, and TradingView. You do not need to recreate a separate watchlist just to open a stock's research page. These are research shortcuts and third-party views, not a promise that accounts or watchlists are synchronised between those services.

How to use it
- Install HoldingsTracker Pro from its Chrome Web Store listing and review the requested permissions.
- Sign in to Kite directly at kite.zerodha.com, then open Holdings. The extension works with the page; do not give your broker password or one-time codes to support.
- Open the extension's insights or a stock research link. If advanced features request an account, check their requirements in the extension; website sign-in alone is not a guarantee of access.
Worked example: what a Kite holdings snapshot can tell you
Hypothetical companies and values, for arithmetic only. These are not securities recommendations, actual prices, or user holdings.
| Holding | Sector | Current value | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aster Bank | Financials | ₹60,000 | 30% |
| Birch Bank | Financials | ₹40,000 | 20% |
| Cedar Software | Technology | ₹50,000 | 25% |
| Delta Engineering | Industrials | ₹30,000 | 15% |
| Elm Foods | Consumer Staples | ₹20,000 | 10% |
| Total | Five positions | ₹2,00,000 | 100% |
- The example below totals ₹60,000 + ₹40,000 + ₹50,000 + ₹30,000 + ₹20,000 = ₹2,00,000 in current value.
- Two bank positions total ₹1,00,000. Their combined Financials exposure is ₹1,00,000 ÷ ₹2,00,000 × 100 = 50%.
- Cedar Software accounts for ₹50,000 ÷ ₹2,00,000 × 100 = 25%. Its research link can be the next step in investigating that exposure.
The snapshot helps connect portfolio size to company research. It cannot reconstruct earlier purchases, sales, dividends, or realised returns from the holdings currently visible on the page.
What this view does not tell you
- Only Zerodha Kite is currently supported by the extension; support for other brokers is not available or promised on a schedule.
- The extension does not place orders, move money, or replace Kite's official records.
- Third-party charts and research can have separate sign-in requirements, data delays, or restrictions. HoldingsTracker Pro is an independent product, not Zerodha's official portfolio tool.
What stays local, and what is sent
The extension reads the visible holdings page and calculates position values and weights in your browser. Stock symbols are sent to the backend to look up sector labels; quantities, costs, position values, and profit or loss are not sent for that lookup. Opening third-party research passes the selected symbol to the destination service. Account sign-in uses the authentication service.
The separate sample portfolio demo calculates from inputs held in page memory, does not transmit those inputs, and generates CSV downloads locally. It does not connect to your broker. Optional public-site analytics, only if configured and explicitly opted into, must not include financial inputs. Your consent choice is stored locally.
For information only, not investment advice. Verify figures against your broker records. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
