Current-holdings portfolio tracker

Understand your stock portfolio, right inside Zerodha Kite

HoldingsTracker Pro adds research shortcuts and current-holdings insights to Zerodha Kite. See how your invested equity is distributed across stocks and sectors without manually rebuilding your holdings in a spreadsheet.

Free installation and research links. Advanced-feature account requirements are shown in the extension. No paid checkout is currently available.

A clearer view of what you hold now

A long holdings list tells you which stocks you own, but it can hide how much of your portfolio depends on a few companies or one sector. The extension's live portfolio insights organise the holdings visible on Kite into sector and sub-sector breakdowns and concentration views. Live here means available in the current product, not a promise of an independent real-time market-data feed.

How to use it

  1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and open your Zerodha Kite holdings page.
  2. Use Portfolio Insights to review the current-holdings sector breakdown and the relative size of positions. Check the extension for account requirements for advanced features.
  3. Use a stock's research shortcuts to open Screener, Tickertape, or TradingView. Review the destination's data and terms before relying on it.

Worked example: turn current values into portfolio weights

Hypothetical companies and values, for arithmetic only. These are not securities recommendations, actual prices, or user holdings.

Hypothetical current-holdings example totalling two lakh rupees
HoldingSectorCurrent valueWeight
Aster BankFinancials₹60,00030%
Birch BankFinancials₹40,00020%
Cedar SoftwareTechnology₹50,00025%
Delta EngineeringIndustrials₹30,00015%
Elm FoodsConsumer Staples₹20,00010%
TotalFive positions₹2,00,000100%
  • Aster Bank: 60 shares × ₹1,000 = ₹60,000. All five positions total ₹2,00,000.
  • Aster Bank's weight = ₹60,000 ÷ ₹2,00,000 × 100 = 30%.
  • Aster Bank and Cedar Software, the two largest positions, total ₹1,10,000: a combined 55% weight.

Five holdings are not five equal exposures. The two largest positions account for more than half of this sample portfolio. This is a description of the current snapshot, not a recommendation to sell or a measure of your historical returns.

What this view does not tell you

  • This is a current-holdings view, not a transaction ledger, dividend tracker, or realised profit-and-loss report.
  • The extension supports Zerodha Kite; it does not consolidate multiple brokers or your complete household finances.
  • Values and labels depend on the visible holdings and sector mappings. Check missing positions and classifications before interpreting the totals.

What stays local, and what is sent

The extension reads the visible holdings page and calculates position values and weights in your browser. Stock symbols are sent to the backend to look up sector labels; quantities, costs, position values, and profit or loss are not sent for that lookup. Opening third-party research passes the selected symbol to the destination service. Account sign-in uses the authentication service.

The separate sample portfolio demo calculates from inputs held in page memory, does not transmit those inputs, and generates CSV downloads locally. It does not connect to your broker. Optional public-site analytics, only if configured and explicitly opted into, must not include financial inputs. Your consent choice is stored locally.
